Join LEAP STUDIO for an introduction to the art of wax work. Intentionally kept small to allow for a personal, hands-on experience, you'll learn to shape and carve your own ring from wax, exploring different forms, textures, and possibilities along the way.
Your finished creation will then be cast in sterling silver and polished, turning something made by your hands into a piece you can wear for years to come.
THE EXPERIENCE
We'll begin with an introduction to the lost-wax casting process, followed by a demonstration of the tools and techniques you'll be using.
From there, you'll have the freedom to explore your own design, working with tools to shape, sculpt, and refine your ring in wax. I'll be there to guide you throughout the process, whether you're working towards a particular idea or simply seeing where your creativity takes you.
At the end of the session, your wax creation will be sent for casting in sterling silver. Each ring will then be cleaned and finished by me before making its way back to you.
No prior experience needed, just a little curiosity and a willingness to get creative!
This workshop is designed for beginners. You'll be guided through the process, from getting familiar with the tools to carving your own ring.
What if my piece is heavier than 8g?
Your workshop fee includes up to 8g of sterling silver for your finished piece. If it exceeds this allowance, an additional material fee will apply. The exact amount and payment arrangements will be communicated before casting.
How long will my finished piece take?
Approximately 3-4 weeks. You'll be notified once your piece is ready.
